O projeto LLVM anunciou a mudan\u00e7a do sistema de listas de e-mail para o site llvm.discourse.group, que utiliza a plataforma Discourse, para facilitar a comunica\u00e7\u00e3o entre desenvolvedores e a publica\u00e7\u00e3o de an\u00fancios. At\u00e9 20 de janeiro, todos os arquivos de discuss\u00f5es anteriores ser\u00e3o transferidos para a nova plataforma. O funcionamento das listas de discuss\u00e3o ser\u00e1 alterado para modo somente leitura em 1\u00ba de fevereiro. Esta migra\u00e7\u00e3o permitir\u00e1 uma comunica\u00e7\u00e3o mais simples e familiar para iniciantes, estruturando as discuss\u00f5es em llvm-dev, organizando a modera\u00e7\u00e3o completa e filtrando spam. Participantes que n\u00e3o desejam usar a interface web e o aplicativo m\u00f3vel poder\u00e3o utilizar o gateway disponibilizado no Discourse para interagir por e-mail. <\/p>\n

A plataforma Discourse oferece um sistema de discuss\u00f5es lineares, proposto como substituto para listas de e-mail, f\u00f3runs web e chats. Suporta a separa\u00e7\u00e3o de t\u00f3picos com base em tags, notifica\u00e7\u00e3o de novas respostas \u00e0s mensagens, atualiza\u00e7\u00e3o em tempo real da lista de mensagens nos t\u00f3picos, carregamento din\u00e2mico de conte\u00fado \u00e0 medida que se l\u00ea, possibilidade de assinatura nas se\u00e7\u00f5es de interesse e envio de respostas por e-mail. O sistema \u00e9 constru\u00eddo na linguagem Ruby utilizando o framework Ruby on Rails e a biblioteca Ember.js (os dados s\u00e3o armazenados no banco de dados PostgreSQL, e o cache r\u00e1pido \u00e9 mantido no Redis).
