O GitHub anunciou a adi\u00e7\u00e3o de um sistema experimental de aprendizado de m\u00e1quina no servi\u00e7o Code scanning para identificar tipos comuns de vulnerabilidades no c\u00f3digo. Na fase de testes, essa nova funcionalidade est\u00e1 dispon\u00edvel apenas para reposit\u00f3rios com c\u00f3digo nas linguagens JavaScript e TypeScript. Foi observado que a utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o do sistema de aprendizado de m\u00e1quina permitiu expandir significativamente o espectro de problemas detectados, pois a an\u00e1lise agora n\u00e3o se limita \u00e0 verifica\u00e7\u00e3o de padr\u00f5es t\u00edpicos e n\u00e3o est\u00e1 vinculada a frameworks conhecidos. Entre os problemas que a nova sistema pode identificar est\u00e3o erros que levam a scripts intersites (XSS) e distor\u00e7\u00e3o de caminhos de arquivos (por exemplo, atrav\u00e9s da indica\u00e7\u00e3o de \"\/..\"), al\u00e9m da inser\u00e7\u00e3o de consultas SQL e NoSQL. <\/p>\n
O servi\u00e7o Code scanning permite identificar vulnerabilidades em est\u00e1gios iniciais de desenvolvimento por meio da varredura de cada opera\u00e7\u00e3o \"git push\" em busca de problemas potenciais. O resultado \u00e9 anexado diretamente ao pull request. Anteriormente, a verifica\u00e7\u00e3o era realizada usando o mecanismo CodeQL, que analisava padr\u00f5es com exemplos t\u00edpicos de c\u00f3digo vulner\u00e1vel (o CodeQL permite criar um padr\u00e3o de c\u00f3digo vulner\u00e1vel para detectar a exist\u00eancia de uma vulnerabilidade semelhante em outros projetos).
