A interface Unity 7 \u00e9 baseada na biblioteca GTK e otimizada para o uso eficiente do espa\u00e7o vertical em laptops com telas widescreen. O c\u00f3digo \u00e9 distribu\u00eddo sob a licen\u00e7a GPLv3. Pacotes prontos foram criados para o Ubuntu 22.04.     <\/p>\n<p>O \u00faltimo lan\u00e7amento significativo do Unity 7 foi publicado em maio de 2016, ap\u00f3s o que apenas corre\u00e7\u00f5es de bugs foram adicionadas ao branch, e o suporte foi mantido por um grupo de entusiastas. No Ubuntu 16.10 e 17.04, al\u00e9m do Unity 7, a interface Unity 8 foi inclu\u00edda, que foi adaptada para a biblioteca Qt5 e o gerenciador de exibi\u00e7\u00e3o Mir. <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/prohoster.info\/pt\/server\/\"   title=\"servidor\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">servidor<\/a> Inicialmente, a Canonical planejou substituir a interface Unity 7, que utiliza GTK e tecnologias GNOME, pela Unity 8, mas os planos mudaram e no Ubuntu 17.10 houve um retorno ao GNOME padr\u00e3o com a barra Ubuntu Dock, enquanto o desenvolvimento da Unity 8 foi interrompido.     <\/p>\n<p>O desenvolvimento do Unity 8 foi assumido pelo projeto UBports, que est\u00e1 desenvolvendo seu fork sob o nome Lomiri. A interface Unity 7 ficou abandonada por um tempo, at\u00e9 que em 2020 tornou-se novamente relevante em uma edi\u00e7\u00e3o n\u00e3o oficial do Ubuntu \u2014 Ubuntu Unity. Em rela\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 distribui\u00e7\u00e3o Ubuntu Unity 22.04, seu ambiente baseado no Unity 7 consome cerca de 700-800 MB.\n<li class=\"l\"> Resolvidos os problemas de exibi\u00e7\u00e3o de
