No rsync, uma ferramenta para sincroniza\u00e7\u00e3o de arquivos e backup, foi identificada uma vulnerabilidade (CVE-2022-29154) que permite, ao acessar um servidor rsync controlado por um invasor, escrever ou sobrescrever arquivos arbitr\u00e1rios no diret\u00f3rio de destino do usu\u00e1rio. Potencialmente, um ataque tamb\u00e9m pode ser realizado como resultado de uma intercepta\u00e7\u00e3o (MITM) do tr\u00e1fego transit\u00f3rio entre o cliente e o servidor leg\u00edtimo. O problema foi corrigido na vers\u00e3o de teste do Rsync 3.2.5pre1. <\/p>\n

A vulnerabilidade \u00e9 semelhante a problemas anteriores no SCP e tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 causada pelo fato de o servidor decidir a localiza\u00e7\u00e3o do arquivo a ser escrito, enquanto o cliente n\u00e3o verifica adequadamente o que est\u00e1 sendo fornecido pelo servidor em rela\u00e7\u00e3o ao que foi solicitado, permitindo servidor<\/a> escrever arquivos que n\u00e3o foram inicialmente solicitados pelo cliente. Por exemplo, ao copiar arquivos para o diret\u00f3rio pessoal, o servidor<\/a> pode acabar retornando arquivos com os nomes .bash_aliases ou .ssh\/authorized_keys no lugar dos arquivos solicitados, e eles ser\u00e3o salvos no diret\u00f3rio pessoal do usu\u00e1rio.
