A vulnerabilidade \u00e9 not\u00e1vel, pois permite atacar dispositivos que t\u00eam o acesso ao web interface desativado para redes externas \u2014 para realizar o ataque, basta enviar um \u00fanico pacote UDP.    <\/p>\n<p>A vulnerabilidade afeta dispositivos que utilizam vers\u00f5es vulner\u00e1veis do SDK da Realtek, incluindo eCos RSDK 1.5.7p1 e MSDK 4.9.4p1. Atualiza\u00e7\u00f5es do eCos SDK com a corre\u00e7\u00e3o da vulnerabilidade foram publicadas pela Realtek em 25 de mar\u00e7o. Ainda n\u00e3o est\u00e1 claro quais exatamente dispositivos s\u00e3o afetados \u2014 o SoC Realtek RTL819x \u00e9 utilizado em roteadores, pontos de acesso, amplificadores de Wi-Fi, c\u00e2meras IP, dispositivos de Internet das Coisas e outros equipamentos de rede de mais de 60 fabricantes, incluindo Asus, A-Link, Beeline, Belkin, Buffalo, D-Link, Edison, Huawei, LG, Logitec, MT-Link, Netgear, Smartlink, UPVEL, ZTE e Zyxel.     <\/p>\n<p>J\u00e1 foram publicados exemplos de exploits para obter acesso remoto ao dispositivo e executar comandos por meio de um ataque ao roteador Nexxt Nebula 300 Plus. Tamb\u00e9m foram disponibilizadas ferramentas para analisar firmwares em busca da vulnerabilidade.     <\/p>\n<p>Considerando os problemas com a prepara\u00e7\u00e3o e entrega de atualiza\u00e7\u00f5es de firmware para dispositivos j\u00e1 lan\u00e7ados, espera-se o surgimento em breve de ataques automatizados e worms que afetem dispositivos de rede vulner\u00e1veis. Ap\u00f3s um ataque bem-sucedido, os dispositivos comprometidos podem ser utilizados por criminosos, por exemplo, para formar botnets, implantar backdoors para deixar uma brecha na rede interna da empresa, interceptar tr\u00e1fego de tr\u00e2nsito ou redirecion\u00e1-lo para um host externo.    <\/p>\n<p>A vulnerabilidade \u00e9 causada por um estouro de buffer no m\u00f3dulo 'SIP ALG' (SIP Application Layer Gateway), utilizado para o encaminhamento de pacotes SIP atrav\u00e9s de um tradutor de endere\u00e7os. O problema surgiu da falta de verifica\u00e7\u00e3o do tamanho real dos dados recebidos, causando a sobrescri\u00e7\u00e3o da \u00e1rea de mem\u00f3ria al\u00e9m do buffer fixo ao chamar a fun\u00e7\u00e3o strcpy durante o processamento dos pacotes SIP. O ataque pode ser realizado atrav\u00e9s do envio de um pacote UDP com valores incorretos nos campos do bloco de dados SDP ou no cabe\u00e7alho do protocolo SIP.
