O reposit\u00f3rio Debian GNU\/Hurd inclui aproximadamente 65% dos pacotes do total do arquivo Debian, incluindo Firefox e Xfce portados. As compila\u00e7\u00f5es de instala\u00e7\u00e3o s\u00e3o formadas (364MB) apenas para a arquitetura i386. Para encerramento com a distribui\u00e7\u00e3o sem instala\u00e7\u00e3o, foram preparados imagens prontas (4.9GB) para <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/prohoster.info\/pt\/vps\/\"   title=\"m\u00e1quinas virtuais\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"2161\">m\u00e1quinas virtuais<\/a>.    <\/p>\n<p>O Debian GNU\/Hurd continua a ser a \u00fanica plataforma Debian em desenvolvimento ativo, criada com um n\u00facleo diferente do Linux (anteriormente, havia um port do Debian GNU\/KFreeBSD, mas que h\u00e1 muito est\u00e1 em estado de abandono). A plataforma GNU\/Hurd n\u00e3o est\u00e1 entre as arquiteturas oficialmente suportadas do Debian, portanto, os lan\u00e7amentos do Debian GNU\/Hurd s\u00e3o formados separadamente e t\u00eam o status de lan\u00e7amentos n\u00e3o oficiais do Debian.    <\/p>\n<p>O GNU Hurd \u00e9 um n\u00facleo desenvolvido como substituto do n\u00facleo Unix e estruturado como um conjunto <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/prohoster.info\/pt\/server\/\"   title=\"servidores\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"1712\">servidores<\/a>, funcionando sobre o microkernel GNU Mach e implementando v\u00e1rios servi\u00e7os do sistema, como sistemas de arquivos, pilha de rede, sistema de controle de acesso a arquivos. O microkernel GNU Mach fornece um mecanismo IPC, utilizado para organizar a intera\u00e7\u00e3o dos componentes do GNU Hurd e construir uma arquitetura distribu\u00edda de m\u00faltiplos servidores.    <\/p>\n<p>No novo lan\u00e7amento:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\">A base de pacotes da distribui\u00e7\u00e3o Debian 12 foi ativada.\n<li class=\"l\"> O driver de disco, que funciona no espa\u00e7o do usu\u00e1rio e \u00e9 baseado no mecanismo proposto pelo projeto NetBSD denominado rump (Runnable Userspace Meta Program) foi preparado. O driver proposto permite que o sistema seja inicializado sem o uso de drivers Linux e sem uma camada que execute drivers Linux atrav\u00e9s de uma camada de emula\u00e7\u00e3o espec\u00edfica no kernel Mach.
