As vers\u00f5es 8.x continuar\u00e3o a ser mantidas paralelamente com a ramifica\u00e7\u00e3o 9.x e t\u00eam como objetivo criar uma compila\u00e7\u00e3o livre do RHEL, capaz de substituir o cl\u00e1ssico CentOS 8, cujo suporte foi encerrado no final de 2021, em vez de 2029, como se pensava inicialmente.
