Atualiza\u00e7\u00f5es para esta nova vers\u00e3o ser\u00e3o lan\u00e7adas durante cinco anos at\u00e9 novembro de 2029. O suporte para o PostgreSQL 12.x, a vers\u00e3o mais antiga atualmente suportada, ser\u00e1 encerrado em 14 de novembro.     <\/p>\n<p>Principais novidades:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Na execu\u00e7\u00e3o da opera\u00e7\u00e3o VACUUM (coleta de lixo, limpeza e empacotamento do armazenamento em disco), uma nova estrutura de dados foi implementada, consumindo at\u00e9 20 vezes menos mem\u00f3ria. A transi\u00e7\u00e3o para a nova estrutura permitiu acelerar a execu\u00e7\u00e3o das opera\u00e7\u00f5es VACUUM e reduzir o consumo de recursos compartilhados.\n<li class=\"l\"> A otimiza\u00e7\u00e3o do desempenho de entrada\/sa\u00edda foi continuada. Gra\u00e7as \u00e0 melhoria do c\u00f3digo para o processamento do log de grava\u00e7\u00e3o atrasada WAL, foi poss\u00edvel aumentar em at\u00e9 duas vezes a capacidade das opera\u00e7\u00f5es de grava\u00e7\u00e3o em sistemas com um grande n\u00famero de consultas sendo executadas simultaneamente.
