O lan\u00e7amento est\u00e1 previsto para 29 de dezembro, caso se decida publicar mais um lan\u00e7amento de teste Xfce 4.20 Pre3, ou 15 de dezembro, se os desenvolvedores considerarem a base de c\u00f3digo suficientemente est\u00e1vel.    <\/p>\n<p>A ramifica\u00e7\u00e3o Xfce 4.20 \u00e9 not\u00e1vel pela adi\u00e7\u00e3o de suporte experimental para opera\u00e7\u00e3o usando o protocolo Wayland. Para abstrair a opera\u00e7\u00e3o sobre Wayland e X11, uma nova biblioteca chamada libxfce4windowing foi implementada, oferecendo uma camada independente do sistema gr\u00e1fico, onde os componentes de gerenciamento de janelas (telas, janelas raiz, desktops virtuais etc.) est\u00e3o implementados. Em vez de libmutter, a biblioteca wlroots, desenvolvida pelo projeto Sway, \u00e9 usada na sess\u00e3o baseada em Wayland.     <\/p>\n<p>Os vencedores do concurso para a cria\u00e7\u00e3o de novos pap\u00e9is de parede para o desktop, cujas obras far\u00e3o parte do lan\u00e7amento do Xfce 4.20, foram anunciados. O concurso contou com a participa\u00e7\u00e3o de 18 usu\u00e1rios, que apresentaram 54 trabalhos. Ap\u00f3s vota\u00e7\u00e3o da comunidade, os seguintes vencedores foram escolhidos:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Primeiro lugar (os pap\u00e9is de parede ser\u00e3o aplicados por padr\u00e3o no
