Na sistema de inicializa\u00e7\u00e3o finit, foi identificada uma vulnerabilidade (CVE-2025-29906) que permite o acesso ao sistema como qualquer usu\u00e1rio sem verifica\u00e7\u00e3o de senha. A explora\u00e7\u00e3o da vulnerabilidade \u00e9 feita atrav\u00e9s de manipula\u00e7\u00e3o do prompt de login e requer acesso ao console. A vulnerabilidade est\u00e1 presente a partir da vers\u00e3o 3.0 (outubro de 2017) e foi corrigida na vers\u00e3o finit 4.11. Em seguida, j\u00e1 foi lan\u00e7ada a vers\u00e3o 4.12, que corrige um buffer overflow no plugin urandom, o qual n\u00e3o foi classificado como uma vulnerabilidade. <\/p>\n
A vulnerabilidade afeta a implementa\u00e7\u00e3o do programa getty, que exibe o convite de entrada no terminal e inicia o processo \/bin\/login para autentica\u00e7\u00e3o do usu\u00e1rio. A vulnerabilidade \u00e9 causada pela falta de separa\u00e7\u00e3o dos argumentos da linha de comando ao iniciar \/bin\/login, permitindo a especifica\u00e7\u00e3o da op\u00e7\u00e3o \u00ab-f\u00bb no nome do usu\u00e1rio, que desativa a verifica\u00e7\u00e3o da senha (por exemplo, pode-se inserir \u00ab-f root\u00bb em vez de \u00abroot\u00bb). Como uma solu\u00e7\u00e3o alternativa para bloquear a vulnerabilidade, recomenda-se usar uma implementa\u00e7\u00e3o externa do processo getty no finit, como a agetty. Nas distribui\u00e7\u00f5es Debian 12, Ubuntu, Parrot, Raspbian e Trisquel, os pacotes com finit ainda permanecem sem corre\u00e7\u00e3o para a vulnerabilidade. <\/p>\n
