Os desenvolvedores do reposit\u00f3rio de pacotes Python PyPI (Python Package Index) relataram a implementa\u00e7\u00e3o de uma proibi\u00e7\u00e3o do uso de endere\u00e7os de e-mail @inbox.ru ao registrar novos projetos e adicionar e-mails adicionais a projetos existentes. A raz\u00e3o \u00e9 uma onda de spam, durante a qual mais de 250 contas foram criadas e mais de 1500 projetos enganosos foram gerados, representando uma potencial amea\u00e7a \u00e0 seguran\u00e7a. <\/p>\n

Os projetos criados foram usados para reservar nomes de bibliotecas inexistentes, erroneamente recomendadas por grandes modelos lingu\u00edsticos (slopskvotting) ou que parecem com os nomes de projetos populares. Na fase anterior \u00e0 proibi\u00e7\u00e3o pelos administradores da PyPI, os projetos n\u00e3o continham c\u00f3digo, mas presume-se que poderiam ser utilizados no futuro para ataques a usu\u00e1rios que seguem cegamente as recomenda\u00e7\u00f5es de chatbots ou que cometem erros ao digitar nomes de pacotes. <\/p>\n

Por exemplo, foram registrados pacotes com nomes de utilit\u00e1rios de linha de comando para ataques a projetos, cujos t\u00edtulos de bibliotecas e utilit\u00e1rios diferem. Uma pesquisa anterior mostrou a alta efici\u00eancia do m\u00e9todo \u2014 ChatGPT recomendou uma biblioteca inexistente \"huggingface-cli\" para baixar modelos do Huggingface e sugeriu que para sua instala\u00e7\u00e3o fosse executado o comando \"pip install huggingface-cli\". O pesquisador criou um placeholder do projeto com esse nome no PyPI e, em tr\u00eas meses, foi baixado mais de 30 mil vezes.
