Os administradores do reposit\u00f3rio de pacotes Python PyPI (Python Package Index) levantaram a proibi\u00e7\u00e3o ap\u00f3s descobrir que 1500 projetos foram criados n\u00e3o por atacantes, mas por uma equipe de seguran\u00e7a da empresa VK, que possui o dom\u00ednio inbox.ru. O objetivo declarado era prevenir ataques potenciais a bibliotecas externas utilizadas no VK. Representantes do VK pediram desculpas e garantiram que n\u00e3o registrar\u00e3o mais projetos dessa forma para identificar e prevenir ataques. <\/p>\n

Vale lembrar que na semana passada o uso de endere\u00e7os de email @inbox.ru foi bloqueado no PyPI ao criar novos projetos devido ao registro de mais de 1500 projetos que supostamente poderiam ser usados para atacar usu\u00e1rios que seguiam as recomenda\u00e7\u00f5es de chatbots ou cometiam erros ao escrever nomes de pacotes. Os projetos usavam nomes de bibliotecas inexistentes, erroneamente recomendadas por grandes modelos de linguagem (slopknotting) ou semelhantes aos nomes de projetos populares.
