Para garantir a integridade do hist\u00f3rico e resist\u00eancia a altera\u00e7\u00f5es retroativas, utiliza-se a hashiza\u00e7\u00e3o impl\u00edcita de todo o hist\u00f3rico anterior em cada commit, al\u00e9m da autentica\u00e7\u00e3o digital com assinaturas dos desenvolvedores em tags e commits individuais. C\u00f3digo Git <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/git\/git\/\">\u00e9 distribu\u00eddo<\/a> sob a licen\u00e7a GPLv2+.<\/p>\n<p><\/noindex>  <noindex><\/p>\n<p>Em compara\u00e7\u00e3o com a vers\u00e3o anterior, esta nova vers\u00e3o incorpora 466 altera\u00e7\u00f5es, desenvolvidas com a participa\u00e7\u00e3o de 70 desenvolvedores (21 deles participaram do desenvolvimento do Git pela primeira vez). Principais <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/about.gitlab.com\/blog\/whats-new-in-git-2-53-0\/\">novidades<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><\/noindex> <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/lore.kernel.org\/git\/20260105-pks-geometric-repack-with-promisors-v1-0-c4660573437e@pks.im\/\">Adicionada<\/a> possibilidade de aplicar a estrat\u00e9gia de empacotamento de reposit\u00f3rios geom\u00e9tricos (git repack \u2014geometric) a reposit\u00f3rios externos clonados parcialmente, operando em modo promisor (objetos ausentes s\u00e3o baixados conforme necess\u00e1rio). Ao reempacotar com a op\u00e7\u00e3o \u2014geometric, os arquivos pack com a extens\u00e3o .promisor s\u00e3o processados e empacotados separadamente. A estrat\u00e9gia geom\u00e9trica permite reduzir o tempo de manuten\u00e7\u00e3o de grandes monoreposit\u00f3rios, atrav\u00e9s do reempacotamento seletivo de objetos e exclus\u00e3o de opera\u00e7\u00f5es dispendiosas, como a fus\u00e3o de todos os arquivos pack (mantendo a progress\u00e3o geom\u00e9trica do tamanho dos arquivos pack, onde cada pr\u00f3ximo arquivo deve ser pelo menos duas vezes maior que o anterior).<\/li>\n<li>Na equipe do git fast-import, foi adicionada a op\u00e7\u00e3o \u2014signed-commits=strip-if-invalid para remover assinaturas digitais de objetos importados que se tornaram inv\u00e1lidos ap\u00f3s a reescrita de parte do hist\u00f3rico do reposit\u00f3rio. Antes, era poss\u00edvel importar ou remover todas as assinaturas, sem distin\u00e7\u00e3o entre as v\u00e1lidas e as que perderam sentido. A op\u00e7\u00e3o strip-if-invalid permite implementar ferramentas para manter as assinaturas v\u00e1lidas e re-assinar objetos com assinaturas que perderam relev\u00e2ncia.<\/li>\n<li>Na sa\u00edda do comando git repo structure foi adicionada a informa\u00e7\u00e3o sobre o tamanho de todos os objetos alcan\u00e7\u00e1veis (reachable) no reposit\u00f3rio, com uma divis\u00e3o por tipo.
