A troca de mensagens ocorre atrav\u00e9s de filas unidirecionais tempor\u00e1rias SMP (SimpleX Messaging Protocol), distintas para cada conex\u00e3o. Todas as conex\u00f5es utilizam criptografia de ponta a ponta. O c\u00f3digo do aplicativo e do roteador SMP \u00e9 distribu\u00eddo sob a licen\u00e7a AGPLv3.      <\/p>\n<p>Para estabelecer uma conex\u00e3o, os usu\u00e1rios precisam trocar um link que cont\u00e9m o endere\u00e7o do servidor SMP e as chaves de criptografia. Assim, o usu\u00e1rio escolhe por quais <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/prohoster.info\/pt\/server\/\" title=\"servidores\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">servidores<\/a> receber mensagens, seja atrav\u00e9s de servidores oficiais, servidores da comunidade ou um servidor pessoal (self-hosted). Para ocultar <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/prohoster.info\/pt\/lir\/ipv4\/\" title=\"endere\u00e7os IP\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">endere\u00e7os IP<\/a> Os servidores SMP utilizam o mecanismo &#171;routing privado&#187;, que garante o roteamento de solicita\u00e7\u00f5es atrav\u00e9s de uma s\u00e9rie de servidores SMP independentes, semelhante ao roteamento em camadas aplicado na rede Tor.      <\/p>\n<p>As mudan\u00e7as mais importantes na vers\u00e3o 6.5:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Foi adicionada a implementa\u00e7\u00e3o de canais que permitem a entrega e gerenciamento de informa\u00e7\u00f5es com estado (stateful). Enquanto as filas SMP garantem a entrega unidirecional de pacotes sem armazenamento de estado (stateless) entre dois pontos finais, os canais implementam um modelo de entrega de informa\u00e7\u00f5es &#171;de um para muitos&#187; com identifica\u00e7\u00e3o criptogr\u00e1fica, independente dos operadores da infraestrutura. Cada canal pode utilizar v\u00e1rios rel\u00e9s para resist\u00eancia \u00e0 censura e \u00e0 falha.\n<p>Sobre os canais, j\u00e1 foram implementados &#171;canais p\u00fablicos&#187; semelhantes aos canais no Telegram, mas com importantes diferen\u00e7as:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> O autor do canal realmente o possui e controla por meio de assinatura criptogr\u00e1fica. Os rel\u00e9s que garantem a entrega &#171;de um para muitos&#187; s\u00e3o intercambi\u00e1veis e n\u00e3o podem agir em nome do propriet\u00e1rio do canal;\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00c9 garantida a privacidade de participa\u00e7\u00e3o. Os rel\u00e9s s\u00e3o clientes na rede SimpleX, assim, herdando as propriedades de privacidade do n\u00edvel de transporte SMP.  <\/ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Prepara\u00e7\u00e3o para a divis\u00e3o dos direitos de propriedade intelectual sobre os protocolos e a rede para evitar a diverg\u00eancia dos interesses dos neg\u00f3cios e dos usu\u00e1rios.
