O lan\u00e7amento do Firefox 157 est\u00e1 previsto para 29 de setembro. Assim como no Chrome, a implementa\u00e7\u00e3o do JPEG-XL no Firefox \u00e9 baseada na biblioteca jxl-rs, escrita em Rust. JPEG XL permite uma redu\u00e7\u00e3o no tamanho dos arquivos de at\u00e9 60% em compara\u00e7\u00e3o com imagens JPEG de qualidade equivalente.
