No n\u00facleo do Linux foi identificada<\/a><\/noindex> vulnerabilidade (CVE-2019-11683<\/a><\/noindex>), permitindo a explora\u00e7\u00e3o remota de nega\u00e7\u00e3o de servi\u00e7o atrav\u00e9s do envio de pacotes UDP formatados de forma especial (packet-of-death). O problema \u00e9 causado por um erro no manipulador udp_gro_receive_segment (net\/ipv4\/udp_offload.c) na implementa\u00e7\u00e3o da tecnologia GRO (Generic Receive Offload) e pode levar \u00e0 corrup\u00e7\u00e3o do conte\u00fado das \u00e1reas de mem\u00f3ria do n\u00facleo ao processar pacotes UDP com preenchimento nulo (payload vazio).<\/p>\n

O problema afeta apenas o n\u00facleo 5.0<\/a><\/noindex>, uma vez que o suporte GRO para sockets UDP foi s\u00e3o implementadas<\/a><\/noindex> em novembro do ano passado e p\u00f4de ser inclu\u00eddo apenas na \u00faltima vers\u00e3o est\u00e1vel do n\u00facleo. A tecnologia GRO permite acelerar o processamento de um grande n\u00famero de pacotes recebidos, atrav\u00e9s da agrega\u00e7\u00e3o de v\u00e1rios pacotes em blocos maiores, que n\u00e3o requerem o processamento separado de cada pacote.
\nPara TCP, o problema n\u00e3o se manifesta, pois para este protocolo n\u00e3o \u00e9 suportada a agrega\u00e7\u00e3o de pacotes sem payload.<\/p>\n

A vulnerabilidade foi corrigida apenas na forma patch<\/a><\/noindex>, uma atualiza\u00e7\u00e3o corretiva ainda n\u00e3o foi publicada (na atualiza\u00e7\u00e3o de ontem 5.0.11 a corre\u00e7\u00e3o n\u00e3o foi inclu\u00edda<\/a><\/noindex>). Do ponto de vista dos distribui\u00e7\u00f5es, o n\u00facleo 5.0 conseguiu ser inclu\u00eddo em Fedora 30<\/a><\/noindex>, Ubuntu 19.04<\/a><\/noindex>, EPEL para RHEL\/CentOS<\/a><\/noindex>, Gentoo<\/a><\/noindex> e outras distribui\u00e7\u00f5es que est\u00e3o sendo continuamente atualizadas. Debian<\/a><\/noindex>, Ubuntu 18.10 e vers\u00f5es anteriores<\/a><\/noindex>, RHEL\/CentOS<\/a><\/noindex> e SUSE\/openSUSE<\/a><\/noindex> o problema n\u00e3o os afeta.<\/p>\n

O problema foi encontrado como resultado de uso<\/a><\/noindex> do sistema automatizado de fuzzing criado pela empresa Google syzbot<\/a><\/noindex> e do analisador KASAN<\/a><\/noindex> (KernelAddressSanitizer), direcionado \u00e0 detec\u00e7\u00e3o de erros no gerenciamento de mem\u00f3ria e \u00e0 identifica\u00e7\u00e3o de acessos incorretos \u00e0 mem\u00f3ria, como acessos a \u00e1reas de mem\u00f3ria liberadas e inser\u00e7\u00e3o de c\u00f3digo em \u00e1reas de mem\u00f3ria que n\u00e3o s\u00e3o destinadas a tais manipula\u00e7\u00f5es. <\/p>\n
