Apresentado<\/a><\/noindex> lan\u00e7amento do projeto KWin-lowlatency 5.15.5<\/a><\/noindex>, no qual foi preparado uma vers\u00e3o do gerenciador de composi\u00e7\u00e3o para o KDE Plasma 5.15, aprimorada com patches para aumentar a responsividade da interface e corrigir alguns problemas relacionados \u00e0 velocidade de resposta \u00e0s a\u00e7\u00f5es do usu\u00e1rio, como atrasos na entrada. Contribui\u00e7\u00f5es do projeto s\u00e3o distribu\u00eddos<\/a><\/noindex> sob a licen\u00e7a GPLv2.
\nPara Arch Linux, um PKGBUILD pronto est\u00e1 dispon\u00edvel no AUR. Para inclus\u00e3o no Gentoo, est\u00e1 sendo preparada uma op\u00e7\u00e3o para compilar o KWin com patches lowlatency.<\/p>\n

O novo lan\u00e7amento \u00e9 not\u00e1vel pelo suporte a sistemas com placas de v\u00eddeo NVIDIA. O c\u00f3digo DRM VBlank foi substitu\u00eddo pelo uso do glXWaitVideoSync para fornecer prote\u00e7\u00e3o contra a ocorr\u00eancia de tearing na sa\u00edda sem impactar negativamente a responsividade. A prote\u00e7\u00e3o contra tearing inicialmente presente no KWin \u00e9 implementada utilizando um temporizador e pode resultar em grandes atrasos (at\u00e9 50ms) na sa\u00edda e, consequentemente, em lat\u00eancia na resposta \u00e0 entrada.<\/p>\n

Configura\u00e7\u00f5es adicionais foram adicionadas (Configura\u00e7\u00f5es do Sistema > Exibi\u00e7\u00e3o e Monitor > Compositor), permitindo encontrar o equil\u00edbrio ideal entre responsividade e funcionalidade. O suporte para anima\u00e7\u00e3o linear est\u00e1 desativado por padr\u00e3o (pode ser reativado nas configura\u00e7\u00f5es). Um modo para desativar o redirecionamento de sa\u00edda em tela cheia atrav\u00e9s do buffer de tr\u00e2nsito foi adicionado (unredirected fullscreen<\/a><\/noindex>), permitindo aumentar o desempenho de aplicativos em tela cheia.<\/p>\n
