Observa-se que para finalizar o GTK 4 ser\u00e1 necess\u00e1rio mais cerca de um ano (GTK 4 desde o ver\u00e3o de 2016). At\u00e9 o final de 2019, est\u00e1 previsto que ser\u00e1 preparado mais um lan\u00e7amento experimental da s\u00e9rie GTK 3.9x, e ent\u00e3o, na primavera de 2020, ser\u00e1 oferecida uma vers\u00e3o final de teste do GTK 3.99, incluindo toda a funcionalidade planejada. O lan\u00e7amento do GTK 4 \u00e9 esperado no in\u00edcio do outono de 2020, simultaneamente com o GNOME 3.38. <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=44596\">est\u00e1 em desenvolvimento<\/a><\/noindex> Antes do lan\u00e7amento final, \u00e9 necess\u00e1rio concluir cinco mudan\u00e7as funcionais planejadas, dentre as quais a substitui\u00e7\u00e3o de widgets fixos por representa\u00e7\u00f5es escal\u00e1veis, uma nova API para anima\u00e7\u00e3o e a transi\u00e7\u00e3o para ela de efeitos e indicadores de progresso de opera\u00e7\u00f5es, a finaliza\u00e7\u00e3o da reformula\u00e7\u00e3o do sistema de menus suspensos (desenvolvimento de ideias relacionadas a submenus aninhados e menus suspensos), a substitui\u00e7\u00e3o do antigo sistema de teclas de atalho por manipuladores de eventos, e o aprimoramento da nova API para opera\u00e7\u00f5es de Drag&amp;Drop.<\/p>\n<p>Antes da vers\u00e3o final, precisamos concluir cinco altera\u00e7\u00f5es funcionais planejadas, entre as quais est\u00e3o o trabalho de substituir widgets fixos por visualiza\u00e7\u00f5es escal\u00e1veis, uma nova API para anima\u00e7\u00f5es e a transi\u00e7\u00e3o de efeitos e indicadores de progresso das opera\u00e7\u00f5es, a conclus\u00e3o da reformula\u00e7\u00e3o do sistema de menus pop-up (desenvolvimento de ideias relacionadas a submenus aninhados e menus suspensos), a substitui\u00e7\u00e3o do antigo sistema de atalhos de teclado por manipuladores de eventos, e o refinamento da nova API para opera\u00e7\u00f5es de arrastar e soltar. <\/p>\n<p>Entre as funcionalidades opcionais que gostar\u00edamos de adicionar antes do lan\u00e7amento do GTK 4, destacam-se o widget 'UI designer', ferramentas aprimoradas para a divis\u00e3o de pain\u00e9is superiores e um reposit\u00f3rio de widgets, atrav\u00e9s do qual widgets experimentais poder\u00e3o ser fornecidos sem integra\u00e7\u00e3o no n\u00facleo do GTK. Tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 mencionado o desenvolvimento de ferramentas para portabilidade de aplicativos para GTK4, como a prepara\u00e7\u00e3o de variantes correspondentes das bibliotecas GtkSourceView, vte e webkitgtk, al\u00e9m do suporte a plataformas. Por exemplo, o sistema de renderiza\u00e7\u00e3o baseado em OpenGL funciona bem no Linux, enquanto o baseado em Vulkan ainda requer melhorias. No Windows, utiliza-se a biblioteca Cairo para renderiza\u00e7\u00e3o, mas uma implementa\u00e7\u00e3o alternativa baseada em <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\"
