Na empresa Mozilla conclu\u00edram<\/a><\/noindex> a fase de teste do suporte ao DNS sobre HTTPS (DNS over HTTPS, DoH) e pretendem lan\u00e7ar a fun\u00e7\u00e3o nos EUA at\u00e9 o final deste m\u00eas. Ap\u00f3s o lan\u00e7amento completo, a possibilidade de ativar o protocolo ser\u00e1 considerada tamb\u00e9m para outros pa\u00edses.<\/p>\n

Essa tecnologia permite criptografar o tr\u00e1fego DNS, embora no navegador a fun\u00e7\u00e3o possa ser desativada para utilizar consultas DNS normais. \u00c9 prov\u00e1vel que usu\u00e1rios de sistemas de controle parental e redes corporativas adotem essa abordagem, pois possuem um sistema de verifica\u00e7\u00e3o que desativa automaticamente o DoH.<\/p>\n

Essa tecnologia pode ser \u00fatil para proteger contra vazamentos de dados atrav\u00e9s de servidores DNS de provedores. Al\u00e9m disso, pode ser utilizada contra ataques MITM, falsifica\u00e7\u00e3o de tr\u00e1fego DNS, contornando bloqueios em n\u00edvel dom\u00ednios<\/a> e assim por diante. \u00c9 importante notar que o padr\u00e3o atual DNSSEC utiliza criptografia apenas para autentica\u00e7\u00e3o do cliente e servidor, mas n\u00e3o protege contra intercepta\u00e7\u00e3o ou falsifica\u00e7\u00e3o de dados.<\/p>\n

A ativa\u00e7\u00e3o do DoH em about:config \u00e9 realizada atrav\u00e9s da vari\u00e1vel network.trr.mode, que foi introduzida no Firefox 60. Com o valor 0, o DoH \u00e9 completamente desativado. O valor 1 permite escolher automaticamente entre DNS ou DoH, dependendo de qual funciona mais r\u00e1pido. Com o valor 2, o DoH \u00e9 usado por padr\u00e3o, e o DNS como uma alternativa. Com o valor 3, apenas o DNS sobre HTTPS \u00e9 ativado. Finalmente, ao definir o par\u00e2metro 4, o modo de espelhamento \u00e9 ativado, onde DoH e DNS funcionam paralelamente, utilizando o servidor DNS da CloudFlare, embora este possa ser alterado.<\/p>\n
