O Java SE 13 mant\u00e9m a compatibilidade retroativa com vers\u00f5es anteriores da plataforma Java, todos os projetos Java escritos anteriormente funcionar\u00e3o sem altera\u00e7\u00f5es quando executados na nova vers\u00e3o. Compila\u00e7\u00f5es prontas para instala\u00e7\u00e3o do Java SE 13 (JDK, JRE e Server JRE) <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/jdk.java.net\/13\">foram preparados<\/a><\/noindex> para Linux (x86_64), Solaris, Windows e macOS. A implementa\u00e7\u00e3o de refer\u00eancia foi desenvolvida no \u00e2mbito do projeto OpenJDK <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/openjdk.java.net\/projects\/jdk\/13\/\">Java 13<\/a><\/noindex> \u00e9 totalmente aberta sob a licen\u00e7a GPLv2 com exce\u00e7\u00f5es do GNU ClassPath, permitindo liga\u00e7\u00e3o din\u00e2mica a produtos comerciais. <\/p>\n<p>O Java SE 13 \u00e9 classificado como uma vers\u00e3o com suporte padr\u00e3o, com atualiza\u00e7\u00f5es a serem lan\u00e7adas at\u00e9 o pr\u00f3ximo lan\u00e7amento. Para uma vers\u00e3o com suporte a longo prazo (LTS), deve-se utilizar o Java SE 11, com atualiza\u00e7\u00f5es sendo fornecidas at\u00e9 2026. A vers\u00e3o anterior LTS, Java 8, ser\u00e1 suportada at\u00e9 dezembro de 2020. O pr\u00f3ximo lan\u00e7amento LTS est\u00e1 previsto para setembro de 2021. Lembramos que, a partir do lan\u00e7amento do Java 10, o projeto passou a um novo processo de desenvolvimento, implicando um ciclo mais curto para a forma\u00e7\u00e3o de novos lan\u00e7amentos. Novas funcionalidades agora s\u00e3o desenvolvidas em um branch master constantemente atualizado, que inclui mudan\u00e7as prontas e das quais ramifica\u00e7\u00f5es s\u00e3o criadas a cada seis meses para estabilizar novos lan\u00e7amentos. O lan\u00e7amento do Java 14 est\u00e1 agendado para mar\u00e7o do pr\u00f3ximo ano, com compila\u00e7\u00f5es preliminares j\u00e1 <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/jdk.java.net\/14\/\">est\u00e3o dispon\u00edveis<\/a><\/noindex> dispon\u00edveis para teste.<\/p>\n<p>De <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/openjdk.java.net\/projects\/jdk\/13\/\">novidades<\/a><\/noindex> <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/jdk.java.net\/13\/release-notes#newfeatures\">Java 13<\/a><\/noindex> <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/blogs.oracle.com\/java-platform-group\/the-arrival-of-java-13\">\u00e9 poss\u00edvel<\/a><\/noindex> <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.oracle.com\/technetwork\/java\/javase\/13all-relnotes-5461743.html#NewFeature\">marcar<\/a><\/noindex>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/openjdk.java.net\/jeps\/350\">Adicionada<\/a><\/noindex> suporte \u00e0 adi\u00e7\u00e3o din\u00e2mica de arquivos CDS (Class-Data Sharing), que permitem que aplicativos acessem classes compartilhadas. Com o CDS, as classes comuns podem ser colocadas em um arquivo compartilhado separado, o que acelera a inicializa\u00e7\u00e3o dos aplicativos e reduz a sobrecarga. A nova vers\u00e3o adiciona ferramentas para arquivamento din\u00e2mico de classes ap\u00f3s a conclus\u00e3o da execu\u00e7\u00e3o do aplicativo. As classes arquivadas incluem todas as classes carregadas durante a execu\u00e7\u00e3o do programa e as bibliotecas associadas que estavam ausentes no arquivo base CDS inicialmente fornecido;\n<li class=\"l\"> No coletor de lixo ZGC (Z Garbage Collector) <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/openjdk.java.net\/jeps\/351\">foi adicionada<\/a><\/noindex> suporte \u00e0 devolu\u00e7\u00e3o de mem\u00f3ria n\u00e3o utilizada ao sistema operacional;\n<li class=\"l\"> <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/openjdk.java.net\/jeps\/353\">Foi ativado<\/a><\/noindex> Uma implementa\u00e7\u00e3o reestruturada da API Legacy Socket (java.net.Socket e java.net.ServerSocket), que \u00e9 mais f\u00e1cil de manter e depurar. Al\u00e9m disso, a implementa\u00e7\u00e3o proposta ser\u00e1 mais f\u00e1cil de adaptar para trabalhar com o novo sistema de threads no espa\u00e7o do usu\u00e1rio (fibers), desenvolvido dentro do projeto Loom;\n<li class=\"l\"> <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/openjdk.java.net\/jeps\/354\">Continuado<\/a><\/noindex> desenvolvimento de uma nova forma de express\u00f5es \u00abswitch\u00bb. Adicionada a possibilidade experimental (Preview) de usar \u00abswitch\u00bb n\u00e3o apenas como operador, mas tamb\u00e9m como express\u00e3o.
