De <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/git.archlinux.org\/pacman.git\/tree\/NEWS?h=v5.2.0\">mudan\u00e7as<\/a><\/noindex> pode-se destacar:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> O suporte a atualiza\u00e7\u00f5es delta, que permitia baixar apenas mudan\u00e7as, foi completamente removido. Essa possibilidade foi eliminada devido \u00e0 descoberta de uma vulnerabilidade (<noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/security.archlinux.org\/CVE-2019-18183\">CVE-2019-18183<\/a><\/noindex>), que permitia a execu\u00e7\u00e3o de comandos arbitr\u00e1rios no sistema ao usar bancos de dados n\u00e3o assinados. Para a explora\u00e7\u00e3o, o usu\u00e1rio precisava baixar arquivos de banco de dados preparados pelo atacante e a atualiza\u00e7\u00e3o delta. O suporte a atualiza\u00e7\u00f5es delta foi desativado por padr\u00e3o e n\u00e3o teve ampla ado\u00e7\u00e3o. No futuro, est\u00e1 previsto reescrever completamente a implementa\u00e7\u00e3o das atualiza\u00e7\u00f5es delta;\n<li class=\"l\"> Na manipula\u00e7\u00e3o do comando XferCommand, foi eliminada uma vulnerabilidade (<noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/security.archlinux.org\/CVE-2019-18182\">CVE-2019-18182<\/a><\/noindex>), que permitia, durante ataques MITM e com bancos de dados n\u00e3o assinados, executar comandos n\u00e3o autorizados no sistema;\n<li class=\"l\"> No makepkg, foi adicionada a funcionalidade de conectar manipuladores para o download de pacotes fonte e verifica\u00e7\u00e3o via assinatura digital. Foi adicionada a suporte \u00e0 compress\u00e3o de pacotes usando os algoritmos lzip, lz4 e zstd. No repo-add, foi adicionada a suporte para compress\u00e3o de bancos de dados usando zstd. A transi\u00e7\u00e3o para o uso de zstd no Arch Linux est\u00e1 prevista; <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=51687\">\u00e9 esperado<\/a><\/noindex> A transi\u00e7\u00e3o padr\u00e3o para o uso de zstd, que em compara\u00e7\u00e3o com o algoritmo \"xz\" permitir\u00e1 acelerar as opera\u00e7\u00f5es de compacta\u00e7\u00e3o e descompacta\u00e7\u00e3o de pacotes, mantendo ao mesmo tempo o n\u00edvel de compress\u00e3o;\n<li class=\"l\"> Foi garantida a possibilidade de compila\u00e7\u00e3o utilizando o sistema Meson no lugar do Autotools.
