Parece que a documenta\u00e7\u00e3o do GitHub est\u00e1 levando a seguran\u00e7a do software a s\u00e9rio. Primeiro, houve o armazenamento de dados em Svalbard e projeto<\/a><\/noindex> apoio financeiro a desenvolvedores. E agora foi introduzida<\/a><\/noindex> a iniciativa GitHub Security Lab, que prop\u00f5e a participa\u00e7\u00e3o de todos os profissionais interessados na melhoria da seguran\u00e7a do software livre.<\/p>\n

J\u00e1 participam da iniciativa F5, Google, HackerOne, Intel, IOActive, J.P. Morgan, LinkedIn, Microsoft, Mozilla, NCC Group, Oracle, Trail of Bits, Uber e VMWare. Nos \u00faltimos dois anos, eles ajudaram a identificar e corrigir 105 vulnerabilidades em v\u00e1rios projetos.<\/p>\n

Outros participantes receber\u00e3o recompensas de at\u00e9 $3000 por vulnerabilidades identificadas. Na interface do GitHub, j\u00e1 est\u00e1 dispon\u00edvel a possibilidade de obter um identificador CVE para o problema e criar um relat\u00f3rio sobre isso. Foi implantado um cat\u00e1logo de vulnerabilidades GitHub Advisory Database<\/a><\/noindex>, contendo informa\u00e7\u00f5es sobre problemas com aplicativos hospedados no GitHub, pacotes vulner\u00e1veis e assim por diante.<\/p>\n

Al\u00e9m disso, o sistema j\u00e1 adicionou uma prote\u00e7\u00e3o aprimorada, que monitora a fim de evitar que dados pessoais e confidenciais, como tokens, chaves e similares, sejam expostos em reposit\u00f3rios p\u00fablicos. Afirmam que o sistema escaneia automaticamente formatos de chaves de 20 servi\u00e7os e sistemas em nuvem. Se um problema \u00e9 detectado, uma solicita\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 enviada ao provedor de servi\u00e7os para confirmar a quest\u00e3o e retirar as chaves comprometidas.<\/p>\n

Vale ressaltar que o GitHub foi adquirido pela Microsoft anteriormente. Parece que em Redmond decidiram realmente se comprometer com a seguran\u00e7a dos dados.<\/p>\n
