Apresentado<\/a><\/noindex> lan\u00e7amento do servidor de exibi\u00e7\u00e3o Mir 1.7<\/a><\/noindex>, cujo desenvolvimento continua pela Canonical, apesar da descontinua\u00e7\u00e3o da interface Unity e da vers\u00e3o do Ubuntu para smartphones. O Mir continua a ser utilizado em projetos da Canonical e agora se posiciona como uma solu\u00e7\u00e3o para dispositivos incorporados e a Internet das Coisas (IoT). O Mir pode ser usado como um servidor compositor para Wayland, permitindo a execu\u00e7\u00e3o em ambientes baseados em Mir de qualquer aplicativo que utilize Wayland (por exemplo, aqueles constru\u00eddos com GTK3\/4, Qt5 ou SDL2). Pacotes para instala\u00e7\u00e3o foram preparados para o Ubuntu 16.04-19.10 (PPA<\/a><\/noindex>) e Fedora 29\/30\/31<\/a><\/noindex>. O c\u00f3digo do projeto \u00e9 distribu\u00eddo<\/a><\/noindex> sob a licen\u00e7a GPLv2.<\/p>\n

Na nova vers\u00e3o, principalmente foram oferecidas corre\u00e7\u00f5es de bugs relacionadas ao suporte experimental para a execu\u00e7\u00e3o de aplicativos X11 em ambientes baseados em Wayland (Xwayland \u00e9 usado). Para o X11, foi implementada a capacidade de decorar janelas e adicionada uma op\u00e7\u00e3o para redefinir o caminho para o arquivo execut\u00e1vel do Xwayland. Foi feita uma limpeza do c\u00f3digo relacionado ao Xwayland. Em uma das pr\u00f3ximas vers\u00f5es, o status da funcionalidade experimental do suporte ao X11 ser\u00e1 removido.<\/p>\n

Na implementa\u00e7\u00e3o da plataforma \u00abwayland\u00bb, que permite executar o Mir como cliente sob a gest\u00e3o de outro servidor compositor Wayland (sendo esse servidor o miral-system-compositor fornecido no Mir), foi adicionado suporte para configurar a escala da sa\u00edda.
\nA op\u00e7\u00e3o de executar aplicativos com base na API mirclient em vez do protocolo Wayland ainda est\u00e1 dispon\u00edvel, mas j\u00e1 foi removida no branch master (anteriormente, a remo\u00e7\u00e3o da API mirclient era impedida pelo uso no UBports e Ubuntu Touch). <\/p>\n
