A principal implementa\u00e7\u00e3o desse protocolo \u00e9 um mensageiro com suporte a sinaliza\u00e7\u00e3o VoIP, mas outras funcionalidades s\u00e3o poss\u00edveis, j\u00e1 que se trata de um protocolo de uso geral.<\/p>\n<p><noindex><\/p>\n<p>A principal mudan\u00e7a nos clientes lan\u00e7ados para <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/vector-im\/riot-web\/releases\/tag\/v1.6.0\">navegador e wrapper Electron (1.6.0)<\/a>, <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/vector-im\/riotX-android\/releases\/tag\/v0.19.0\">Android (0.19.0)<\/a> e <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/vector-im\/riot-ios\/releases\/tag\/v0.11.2\">iOS (0.11.1-0.11.2)<\/a> foi a inclus\u00e3o de criptografia de ponta a ponta para di\u00e1logos pessoais por padr\u00e3o. A criptografia \u00e9 possibilitada pelo protocolo <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/gitlab.matrix.org\/matrix-org\/olm\/blob\/master\/docs\/olm.md\">Olm<\/a>, que \u00e9 baseado no protocolo do mensageiro Signal. A criptografia de di\u00e1logos em grupo utiliza uma extens\u00e3o do protocolo chamada <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/gitlab.matrix.org\/matrix-org\/olm\/-\/blob\/master\/docs\/megolm.md\">Megolm<\/a>, que permite decifrar a mensagem v\u00e1rias vezes.<\/p>\n<p><\/noindex><br \/>\n<noindex><\/p>\n<p>A primeira implementa\u00e7\u00e3o opcional de criptografia foi <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/matrix.org\/blog\/2016\/11\/21\/matrixs-olm-end-to-end-encryption-security-assessment-released-and-implemented-cross-platform-on-riot-at-last\">apresentada em 2016<\/a>. A inclus\u00e3o por padr\u00e3o em vers\u00f5es experimentais ocorreu durante o FOSDEM 2020.<\/p>\n<p><\/noindex><\/p>\n<p>Desde o primeiro lan\u00e7amento, as seguintes funcionalidades de criptografia foram introduzidas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>o cliente pode solicitar chaves para decifrar mensagens de outros clientes do usu\u00e1rio ou de clientes interlocutores;<\/li>\n<li>um armazenamento de chaves de criptografia do cliente foi adicionado, criptografado com uma frase secreta;<\/li>\n<li>al\u00e9m da verifica\u00e7\u00e3o de dispositivos por impress\u00e3o digital (fingerprint), a verifica\u00e7\u00e3o por meio de s\u00edmbolos emoji tamb\u00e9m foi introduzida.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>No futuro, est\u00e1 planejada a inclus\u00e3o de criptografia por padr\u00e3o n\u00e3o apenas para di\u00e1logos pessoais, mas tamb\u00e9m para salas n\u00e3o p\u00fablicas em geral, incluindo grupos.<\/p>\n<p>Tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 mencionado:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a introdu\u00e7\u00e3o de uma nova interface para criptografia;<\/li>\n<li>verifica\u00e7\u00e3o de dispositivos com c\u00f3digos QR;<\/li>\n<li><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/matrix-org\/seshat\">pesquisa em hist\u00f3rico de mensagens criptografadas<\/a>;<\/li>\n<li>e a estabiliza\u00e7\u00e3o final do funcionamento.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><noindex><\/p>\n<p>A pesquisa em salas criptografadas j\u00e1 est\u00e1 dispon\u00edvel atrav\u00e9s da <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/stoically\/radical\">extens\u00e3o Radical para Firefox<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><\/noindex><br \/>\n<noindex><\/p>\n<p>Para facilitar o trabalho com chaves de criptografia, os desenvolvedores do protocolo Matrix apresentaram um mecanismo chamado \"confirma\u00e7\u00e3o cruzada\" (cross-signing). Ele permite que, utilizando um dispositivo j\u00e1 verificado, outros dispositivos do usu\u00e1rio sejam automaticamente verificados. Com o funcionamento desse mecanismo, duas partes precisam verificar seus dispositivos apenas uma vez, em vez de fazer isso para cada dispositivo separadamente.
