Apresentado<\/a><\/noindex> lan\u00e7amento significativo da biblioteca libtorrent 2.0<\/a><\/noindex> tamb\u00e9m conhecido como libtorrent-rasterbar, que oferece uma implementa\u00e7\u00e3o do protocolo BitTorrent, eficiente em termos de consumo de mem\u00f3ria e carga de CPU. A biblioteca \u00e9 utilizada<\/a><\/noindex> em clientes torrent como Deluge<\/a><\/noindex>, qBittorrent<\/a><\/noindex>, Folx<\/a><\/noindex>, Lince<\/a><\/noindex>, Miro<\/a><\/noindex> e Flush<\/a><\/noindex> (n\u00e3o confundir com outra biblioteca libtorrent<\/a><\/noindex>, que \u00e9 usada no rTorrent). O c\u00f3digo do libtorrent \u00e9 escrito em C++ e \u00e9 distribu\u00eddo<\/a><\/noindex> sob a licen\u00e7a BSD.<\/p>\n

O lan\u00e7amento \u00e9 not\u00e1vel pela adi\u00e7\u00e3o de<\/a><\/noindex> suporte ao protocolo BitTorrent v2<\/a><\/noindex>, que abandona o uso do algoritmo SHA-1, que possui problemas<\/a><\/noindex> com a sele\u00e7\u00e3o de colis\u00f5es, em favor do SHA2-256. O SHA2-256 \u00e9 aplicado tanto para a verifica\u00e7\u00e3o da integridade dos blocos de dados quanto para os registros nos \u00edndices (info-dictionary), o que compromete a compatibilidade com DHT e trackers. Para links magn\u00e9ticos de torrents com hashes SHA2-256, um novo prefixo «urn:btmh:» foi proposto (para SHA-1 e torrents h\u00edbridos usa-se «urn:btih:»).<\/p>\n

Como a substitui\u00e7\u00e3o da fun\u00e7\u00e3o de hash quebra a compatibilidade do protocolo (campo com hash de 32 bytes em vez de 20 bytes), o desenvolvimento da especifica\u00e7\u00e3o BitTorrent v2 foi inicialmente feito sem considerar a compatibilidade reversa e foram aceitas outras mudan\u00e7as significativas, como o uso de \u00e1rvores de hash Merkle nos \u00edndices para reduzir o tamanho dos arquivos torrent e verificar os dados carregados em n\u00edvel de blocos.<\/p>\n

Entre as mudan\u00e7as no BitTorrent v2, destaca-se a transi\u00e7\u00e3o para a vincula\u00e7\u00e3o de \u00e1rvores de hash individuais a cada arquivo e a aplica\u00e7\u00e3o de alinhamento dos arquivos por partes (sem adi\u00e7\u00e3o de preenchimento extra ap\u00f3s cada arquivo), o que elimina a duplica\u00e7\u00e3o de dados em caso de arquivos id\u00eanticos e simplifica a identifica\u00e7\u00e3o de diferentes fontes para arquivos. A efici\u00eancia da codifica\u00e7\u00e3o da estrutura de diret\u00f3rios no torrent foi aumentada e foram adicionadas otimiza\u00e7\u00f5es para lidar com um grande n\u00famero de arquivos pequenos. <\/p>\n

Para suavizar a coexist\u00eancia do BitTorrent v1 e BitTorrent v2, foi implementada a possibilidade de criar arquivos torrent h\u00edbridos, que incluem al\u00e9m das estruturas com hashes SHA-1, \u00edndices com SHA2-256.
\nEsses torrents h\u00edbridos podem ser usados com clientes que suportam apenas o protocolo BitTorrent v1.
