Poziția oficială a comitetelor programului Highload++ și altor conferințe IT cu privire la reclamațiile împotriva lui Igor Sysoev și Maxim Konovalov
Atacul asupra lui Igor Sysoev, un programator de excepție și creator Nginx, al unui produs distribuit sub o licență liberă, adică disponibil oricui pentru utilizare gratuită și studierea codului sursă, este un fapt flagrant de agresiune împotriva întregii industrii.
Ne exprimăm sprijinul pentru Igor și dorim să subliniem în mod special contribuția sa la dezvoltarea industriei; Igor a pus baza pentru o funcționare de calitate a peste 80% din toate resursele cu încărcare mare din Runet. El și produsul său au devenit catalizatorul care a permis serviciilor rusești să fie competitive pe piața mondială și să ocupe poziții de lider în ceea ce privește dezvoltarea proiectelor capabile să suporte o mare încărcare.
Înființăm un premiu, pe care îl vom oferi celor mai buni dezvoltatori, sprijinind și promovând orice dezvoltări la care au contribuit programatorii ruși. Și ce obținem în final? Se pare că unul dintre jucătorii de pe piață nu este interesat în dezvoltarea acestei piețe.
De asemenea, dorim să subliniem că reclamațiile împotriva produselor open source în general și împotriva nginx în particular pun sub semnul întrebării siguranța economică a celor mai mari servicii rusești și mondiale care utilizează nginx și alte produse open source. În plus, astfel de acțiuni vor avea un impact negativ asupra climatului investițional din industria IT din Rusia și ar putea duce la degradarea acestei industrii.
Condamnăm cu fermitate acțiunile inițiatorilor persecuției și cerem specialiștilor tehnici din aceste companii să transmită conducerii lor tot absurdul și monstruozitatea celor întâmplate.
Situația în care fiecare programator, la orice commit în proiectele open source, trebuie să se gândească la securitatea juridică a acțiunilor sale, ni se pare un factor limitator pentru dezvoltarea industriei.
