A fost lansat primul release al distribu\u021biei Floppinux, \u00een cadrul c\u0103ruia s-a \u00eencercat crearea unei distribu\u021bii minimalistice care s\u0103 se \u00eencadreze \u00een dimensiunea unei dischete de 3,5 inci, utiliz\u00e2nd cele mai recente versiuni ale componentelor de sistem, precum nucleul Linux 5.13.0-rc2 \u0219i pachetul de utilitare busybox 1.33.1. <\/p>\n

DIMensiunea imaginii de sistem preg\u0103tite pentru \u00eenc\u0103rcare este de 1.44MiB, din care nucleul ocup\u0103 632KiB, iar componentele spa\u021biului utilizator \u2014 552KiB. Pentru aplica\u021biile utilizatorilor r\u0103m\u00e2n 272KiB de spa\u021biu liber (du -h). Ca cerin\u021be minime de sistem, este specificat un echipament cu procesor i486DX \u0219i 24 MB RAM. <\/p>\n

Dezvoltatorul a preg\u0103tit un ghid care permite compunerea unei imagini minimaliste pentru utilizare \u00een sisteme \u00eencorporate cu resurse limitate, ca interfa\u021b\u0103 pentru \u00eenc\u0103rcarea aplica\u021biilor specializate proprii. Pentru testare, se poate utiliza QEMU (\u00abqemu-system-i386 -fda floppinux.img\u00bb). <\/p>\n

Nucleul \u0219i busybox sunt compilate folosind configura\u021bia ini\u021bial\u0103 minim\u0103 posibil\u0103 (\u00abmake ARCH=x86 tinyconfig\u00bb \u0219i \u00abmake allnoconfig\u00bb). \u00cen nucleu, este activat\u0103 suportul pentru RAM-disk, TTY, printk, ELF \u0219i analiza antetului scripturilor \u00ab#!\u00bb. Busybox este compilat folosind legarea static\u0103 \u0219i includerea utilitarilor vi, ash, mount, umount, init, less, cat, du, echo, ls, sleep, uname, poweroff, clear, reboot. Pentru \u00eenc\u0103rcare se utilizeaz\u0103 syslinux.
