Aceasta este a \u0219asea versiune dup\u0103 ce compania Qt Company s-a retras din dezvoltarea proiectului, fiind preg\u0103tit\u0103 de comunitatea interesat\u0103 de continuarea dezvolt\u0103rii Qbs. Pentru construirea cu Qbs, este necesar\u0103 Qt ca dependen\u021b\u0103, de\u0219i Qbs este conceput pentru a organiza construc\u021bia oric\u0103ror proiecte. Qbs folose\u0219te o variant\u0103 simplificat\u0103 a limbajului QML pentru a defini scenariile de construc\u021bie a proiectului, permi\u021b\u00e2nd astfel definirea unor reguli de construc\u021bie destul de flexibile, \u00een care pot fi conectate module externe, utilizate func\u021bii JavaScript \u0219i create reguli de construc\u021bie arbitrare.    <\/p>\n<p>Limbajul de script folosit \u00een Qbs este adaptat pentru automatizarea gener\u0103rii \u0219i analiz\u0103rii scripturilor de compilare \u00een medii integrate de dezvoltare. \u00cen plus, Qbs nu genereaz\u0103 fi\u0219iere make, ci controleaz\u0103 direct, f\u0103r\u0103 intermediari precum utilitarul make, rularea compilatoarelor \u0219i link-urilor, optimiz\u00e2nd procesul de compilare pe baza unui grafic detaliat al tuturor dependen\u021belor. Qbs a fost dezvoltat ca o alternativ\u0103 la qmake, dar \u00een cele din urm\u0103 s-a decis utilizarea CMake ca sistem de construc\u021bie principal pentru Qt pe termen lung. Dezvoltarea Qbs este acum continuat\u0103 sub forma unui proiect independent, sus\u021binut de comunitate \u0219i de dezvoltatori interesa\u021bi.
