Proiectul este o modificare a distribuitorului LibreELEC, ini\u021bial destinat cre\u0103rii de centre de divertisment. Construirile Lakka sunt disponibile pentru platformele i386, x86_64 (GPU Intel, NVIDIA sau AMD), Raspberry Pi 1-4, Orange Pi, Cubieboard, Cubieboard2, Cubietruck, Banana Pi, Hummingboard, Cubox-i, Odroid C1\/C1+\/XU3\/XU4 etc. Pentru instalare, este suficient s\u0103 scrie\u021bi distribu\u021bia pe un card SD sau pe un USB, s\u0103 conecta\u021bi un controller \u0219i s\u0103 \u00eenc\u0103rca\u021bi sistemul.    <\/p>\n<p>Lakka se bazeaz\u0103 pe emulatorul consolelor de jocuri RetroArch, care ofer\u0103 emularea unei game largi de dispozitive \u0219i suport\u0103 func\u021bionalit\u0103\u021bi avansate precum jocuri multiplayer, salvarea st\u0103rii, \u00eembun\u0103t\u0103\u021birea calit\u0103\u021bii imaginii pentru jocuri mai vechi prin intermediul shader-elor, derularea jocului \u00eenapoi, conectarea la cald a controllerelor \u0219i streaming video. Printre consolele emulate se num\u0103r\u0103: Atari 2600\/7800\/Jaguar\/Lynx, Game Boy, Mega Drive, NES, Nintendo 64\/DS, PCEngine, PSP, Sega 32X\/CD, SuperNES etc. Se sus\u021bin controllere de la consolele de jocuri existente, inclusiv Playstation 3, Dualshock 3, 8bitdo, Nintendo Switch, XBox 1 \u0219i XBox360.       <\/p>\n<p>\u00cen noua versiune:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Pachetul RetroArch a fost actualizat la versiunea 1.9.7, \u00een care a fost optimizat\u0103 scanarea unor seturi mari de date, s-a ad\u0103ugat suport pentru asocierea mai multor controllere de joc la un singur dispozitiv de input \u0219i s-au \u00eembun\u0103t\u0103\u021bit func\u021bionalit\u0103\u021bile \u00een modul \u201eAnalog to Digital Type\u201d.\n<li class=\"l\"> Versiunile emulatorilor \u0219i ale motoarelor de jocuri au fost actualizate. A fost ad\u0103ugat un nou emulator np2kai (PC-98). \u00cen emulatorul Dolphin a fost implementat catalogul dolphin-emu\/Sys, referitor la catalogul sistemului RetroArch.\n<li class=\"l\"> A fost
