Lansarea este programat\u0103 pentru 22 septembrie 2021. Pentru testarea GNOME 41 au fost preg\u0103tite versiuni experimentale de c\u0103tre proiectul GNOME OS.      <\/p>\n<p>Reamintim c\u0103 GNOME a trecut la o nou\u0103 numerotare a versiunilor, conform c\u0103reia, \u00een loc de 3.40, prim\u0103vara a fost publicat\u0103 versiunea 40.0, dup\u0103 care a \u00eenceput lucrul la noua ramur\u0103 semnificativ\u0103 41.x. A fost ad\u0103ugat\u0103 op\u021biunea de dezactivare a anima\u021biei.\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00cen browserul Eiphany a fost actualizat vizualizatorul PDF integrat PDF.js \u0219i a fost ad\u0103ugat un blocator de reclame pe YouTube, realizat pe baza scriptului AdGuard.\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00cen managerul de display GDM a fost ad\u0103ugat\u0103 posibilitatea de a lansa sesiuni bazate pe Wayland, chiar dac\u0103 ecranul de intrare este deschis pe baza X.Org. Sesiunile Wayland sunt permise pentru sistemele cu GPU NVIDIA.\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00cen calendarul-planificator a fost implementat suport pentru importul de evenimente \u0219i deschiderea fi\u0219ierelor ICS. A fost propus un nou tooltip cu informa\u021bii despre eveniment.\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00cen gnome-disk a fost folosit LUKS2 pentru criptare.
