Compania Red Hat a anun\u021bat crearea unei echipe separate, care va coordona activit\u0103\u021bile legate de \u00eentre\u021binerea repositoarelor EPEL. Obiectivul echipei este s\u0103 nu \u00eenlocuiasc\u0103 comunitatea, ci s\u0103 organizeze sprijinul s\u0103u constant \u0219i s\u0103 asigure preg\u0103tirea EPEL pentru urm\u0103toarea versiune semnificativ\u0103 a RHEL. Echipa a fost format\u0103 ca parte a grupului CPE (Community Platform Engineering), care se ocup\u0103 cu men\u021binerea infrastructurii pentru dezvoltarea \u0219i publicarea versiunilor Fedora \u0219i CentOS. <\/p>\n

Reamintim c\u0103 proiectul EPEL (Extra Packages for Enterprise Linux) se ocup\u0103 cu \u00eentre\u021binerea repositoarelor de pachete suplimentare pentru RHEL \u0219i CentOS. Prin EPEL, utilizatorii distribu\u021biilor compatibile cu Red Hat Enterprise Linux au acces la un set suplimentar de pachete din Fedora Linux, sus\u021binute de comunit\u0103\u021bile Fedora \u0219i CentOS. Versiunile binare sunt produse pentru arhitecturile x86_64, aarch64, ppc64le \u0219i s390x. Sunt disponibile pentru desc\u0103rcare 7705 pachete binare (3971 srpm).
