A fost descoperit\u0103 o vulnerabilitate \u00een nucleul Linux (CVE-2021-41073) care permite unui utilizator local s\u0103 \u00ee\u0219i ridice privilegile \u00een sistem. Problema este cauzat\u0103 de o eroare \u00een implementarea interfe\u021bei de intrare\/ie\u0219ire asincron\u0103 io_uring, care duce la accesarea unui bloc de memorie deja eliberat. Se observ\u0103 c\u0103 cercet\u0103torul a reu\u0219it s\u0103 ob\u021bin\u0103 eliberarea memoriei la un offset specific manipul\u00e2nd func\u021bia loop_rw_iter() ca utilizator lipsit de privilegii, ceea ce face posibil\u0103 crearea unui exploit func\u021bional. Problema a fost remediat\u0103 p\u00e2n\u0103 acum doar sub forma unei corec\u021bii, care a fost backportat\u0103 \u00een ramurile stabile ale nucleului, dar actualizarea \u00eenc\u0103 nu a fost lansat\u0103.
