Proiectul a fost dezvoltat pe baza lucr\u0103rilor de cercetare \u00een domeniul scraping-ului de date publice. Versiunile sunt preg\u0103tite pentru Linux \u0219i Windows.        <\/p>\n<p>Codul este scris \u00een limbajul Python \u0219i este distribuit sub o licen\u021b\u0103 care limiteaz\u0103 utilizarea doar pentru uz personal. Proiectul este o ramur\u0103 a bazei de cod a proiectului Sherlock, care este livrat sub licen\u021ba MIT (fork creat din cauza imposibilit\u0103\u021bii de a extinde baza de site-uri).   <\/p>\n<p>Snoop a fost inclus \u00een Registrul Unic al Programelor pentru Calculatoare \u0219i Baze de Date din Rusia cu codul declarat 26.30.11.16: \u201eSoftware care asigur\u0103
