O bibliotec\u0103 standard a limbajului Rust a identificat o vulnerabilitate (CVE-2022-21658) legat\u0103 de o stare de competi\u021bie \u00een func\u021bia std::fs::remove_dir_all(). Atunci c\u00e2nd aceast\u0103 func\u021bie este utilizat\u0103 pentru a \u0219terge fi\u0219iere temporare \u00eentr-o aplica\u021bie cu privilegii, un atacator poate ob\u021bine \u0219tergerea unor fi\u0219iere \u0219i directoare sistemice arbitrare, accesibile \u00een mod normal atacatorului. <\/p>\n

Vulnerabilitatea este cauzat\u0103 de o implementare incorect\u0103 a verific\u0103rii leg\u0103turilor simbolice \u00eenainte de \u0219tergerea recursiv\u0103 a directorilor. \u00cen loc s\u0103 interzic\u0103 urm\u0103rirea leg\u0103turilor simbolice, func\u021bia remove_dir_all() verific\u0103 mai \u00eent\u00e2i dac\u0103 fi\u0219ierul este o leg\u0103tur\u0103 simbolic\u0103. Dac\u0103 se identific\u0103 o leg\u0103tur\u0103, aceasta este \u0219tears\u0103 ca un fi\u0219ier, iar dac\u0103 este un director \u2013 se efectueaz\u0103 opera\u021bia de \u0219tergere recursiv\u0103 a con\u021binutului.
