Dup\u0103 mai bine de cinci ani de la ultimul s\u0103u release semnificativ, a fost lansat\u0103 versiunea distribuitivului Zenwalk 15, care este compatibil\u0103 cu baza de pachete Slackware 15 \u0219i folose\u0219te un mediu desktop bazat pe Xfce 4.16. Pentru utilizatori, distribuitivul poate fi interesant datorit\u0103 livr\u0103rii unor versiuni mai recente de software, prieteniei cu utilizatorul, vitezei \u00eenalte de func\u021bionare, abord\u0103rii ra\u021bionale \u00een alegerea aplica\u021biilor (o aplica\u021bie pentru o singur\u0103 sarcin\u0103), autosuficien\u021bei (f\u0103r\u0103 necesitatea de a instala suplimentar ceva) \u0219i utiliz\u0103rii sistemului Netpkg pentru gestionarea pachetelor. Dimensiunea imaginii ISO de instalare este de 1.2 GB (x86_64). <\/p>\n

Pe l\u00e2ng\u0103 actualizarea bazei de pachete la Slackware 15 \u0219i utilizarea mediului desktop Xfce 4.16, distribuitivul Zenwalk 15 se remarc\u0103 prin ad\u0103ugarea unor optimiz\u0103ri suplimentare pentru Xfce, \u00eembun\u0103t\u0103\u021birea func\u021bion\u0103rii desktopului, suportul pentru instalarea pachetelor autosuficiente \u00een formate Flatpak \u0219i AppImage, simplificarea procesului de instalare, optimizarea dimensiunii \u0219i reducerea consumului de memorie. Panoul de aplica\u021bii este amplasat pe lateral, \u00een stil NEXT\/Windowmaker, iar aranjamentul desktopului este optimizat pentru ecrane widescreen.
