Principalele nout\u0103\u021bi:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Bootloaderul a fost complet rescris, analogic unificat \u0219i predominant scris \u00een Rust pentru \u00eenc\u0103rcare pe sisteme cu BIOS \u0219i UEFI. Modificarea bootloaderului a permis extinderea semnificativ\u0103 a spectrului de hardware suportat.\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00cen nucleu, pe l\u00e2ng\u0103 corectarea erorilor, s-a lucrat la \u00eembun\u0103t\u0103\u021birea performan\u021bei \u0219i extinderea suportului hardware. Variabilele specifice CPU au fost migrate la utilizarea registrului GS. A fost realizat\u0103 maparea \u00eentregii memorie fizice, iar utilizarea paginilor recursive de memorie a fost oprit\u0103. Printre noile caracteristici ale RedoxFS se num\u0103r\u0103 suportul pentru actualiz\u0103ri tranzac\u021bionale, criptarea datelor folosind algoritmul AES, precum \u0219i asigurarea datelor \u0219i metadatelor cu semn\u0103turi digitale. Redox utilizeaz\u0103 conceptul de microkernel, \u00een care la nivelul nucleului se asigur\u0103 doar interac\u021biunea \u00eentre procese \u0219i gestionarea resurselor, iar toate celelalte func\u021bionalit\u0103\u021bi sunt externalizate \u00een biblioteci care pot fi utilizate at\u00e2t de nucleu, c\u00e2t \u0219i de aplica\u021biile utilizatorului. Toate driverele ruleaz\u0103 \u00een spa\u021biul utilizatorului \u00een medii sandbox izolate. Pentru compatibilitatea cu aplica\u021biile existente, este oferit\u0103 o interfa\u021b\u0103 POSIX special\u0103 care permite rularea multor programe f\u0103r\u0103 portare.    <\/p>\n<p>\u00cen sistem se aplic\u0103 principiul &#171;totul este URL&#187;.
