API WebExtensions permite crearea extensiilor folosind tehnologii web standard \u0219i uniformizeaz\u0103 dezvoltarea extensiilor pentru diferite browsere (WebExtensions este utilizat \u00een extensiile pentru Chrome, Firefox \u0219i Safari). Versiunea cu suport pentru extensii va fi inclus\u0103 \u00een lansarea GNOME 43, programat\u0103 pentru 21 septembrie.    <\/p>\n<p>Se men\u021bioneaz\u0103 c\u0103 \u00een Epiphany este implementat\u0103, deocamdat\u0103, doar o parte din API WebExtension, dar acest sprijin este deja suficient pentru a rula unele extensii populare. \u00cen timp, suportul pentru API WebExtension va fi extins. Dezvoltarea se desf\u0103\u0219oar\u0103 av\u00e2nd \u00een vedere implementarea celei de-a doua versiuni a manifestului extensiilor \u0219i asigurarea compatibilit\u0103\u021bii cu extensiile pentru Firefox \u0219i Chrome. Printre API-urile neimplementate se men\u021bioneaz\u0103 webRequest, utilizat \u00een extensiile pentru blocarea con\u021binutului nedorit. De asemenea, \u00een managerul de aplica\u021bii GNOME Software va ap\u0103rea o selec\u021bie de aplica\u021bii web care vor putea fi instalate \u0219i dezinstalate ca programe obi\u0219nuite.
