Vulnerabilit\u0103\u021bile sunt cauzate de lipsa verific\u0103rii corecte a dimensiunii \u00een manejerele cererilor ProcXkbSetGeometry (CVE-2022-2319) \u0219i ProcXkbSetDeviceInfo (CVE-2022-2320), care pot fi exploatate pentru a scrie \u00een zona de memorie dincolo de bufferul rezervat. <\/p>\n

\u00cen cazul ProcXkbSetGeometry verifica m\u0103rimea c\u00e2mpurilor de cerere lipsea, permi\u021b\u00e2nd clientului s\u0103 declan\u0219eze un overflow specific\u00e2nd \u00eentr-o cerere un num\u0103r de sec\u021biuni care nu corespund datelor efectiv trimise. \u00cen handlerul ProcXkbSetDeviceInfo, vulnerabilitatea a fost cauzat\u0103 de ordinea gre\u0219it\u0103 a apelurilor de func\u021bii \u2014 func\u021bia de verificare a parametrilor a fost apelat\u0103 dup\u0103 func\u021bia \u00een care aceste parametr raci au fost utilizate (numele func\u021biilor au fost confundate, iar func\u021bia XkbSetDeviceInfo includea cod pentru verificare, \u00een timp ce XkbSetDeviceInfoCheck era pentru setarea valorilor).
