Se men\u021bioneaz\u0103 c\u0103 \u00een fiecare zi, prin NPM, sunt desc\u0103rcate peste 5 miliarde de pachete.    <\/p>\n<p>Modific\u0103ri cheie:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> A fost ad\u0103ugat\u0103 o nou\u0103 comand\u0103 &#171;audit signatures&#187; pentru a efectua o audiere local\u0103 a integrit\u0103\u021bii pachetelor instalate, f\u0103r\u0103 a necesita manipul\u0103ri cu utilitarele PGP. Noua mecanism de verificare se bazeaz\u0103 pe utilizarea semn\u0103turilor digitale bazate pe algoritmul ECDSA \u0219i pe utilizarea HSM (Hardware Security Module) pentru gestionarea cheilor. Toate pachetele din depozitul NPM au fost deja reinstabilite utiliz\u00e2nd noua schem\u0103.\n<li class=\"l\"> A fost anun\u021bat\u0103 disponibilitatea unei autentific\u0103ri extinse cu dou\u0103 factori pentru utilizare general\u0103. A fost ad\u0103ugat un proces simplificat de conectare \u0219i publicare \u00een npm CLI, care func\u021bioneaz\u0103 prin intermediul browserului. C\u00e2nd se specific\u0103 op\u021biunea &#171;&#8212;auth-type=web&#187; pentru autentificarea contului, se folose\u0219te o interfa\u021b\u0103 web deschis\u0103 \u00een browser. Parametrii sesiunii sunt memoriza\u021bi. Pentru a stabili sesiunea este necesar\u0103 confirmarea e-mailului prin utilizarea parolelor unice (OTP), iar pentru efectuarea opera\u021biunilor \u00een sesiunile deja stabilite, este suficient s\u0103 se confirme al doilea pas al autentific\u0103rii cu dou\u0103 factori. Este disponibil un mod de memorare, care permite efectuarea opera\u021biunilor de publicare timp de 5 minute de la aceea\u0219i adres\u0103 IP \u0219i cu acela\u0219i token, f\u0103r\u0103 solicit\u0103ri suplimentare de autentificare cu dou\u0103 factori.\n<li class=\"l\"> A fost oferit\u0103 posibilitatea de a lega conturile GitHub \u0219i Twitter de NPM, permi\u021b\u00e2nd conectarea la NPM folosind conturile de GitHub \u0219i Twitter.  <\/ul>\n<p>Printre planurile viitoare se men\u021bioneaz\u0103 implementarea autentific\u0103rii cu doi factori ca fiind obligatorie pentru conturile legate de pachete care au mai mult de 1 milion de desc\u0103rc\u0103ri pe s\u0103pt\u0103m\u00e2n\u0103 sau au mai mult de 500 de pachete dependente. \u00cen prezent, autentificarea
