Aceasta este a patra versiune a OpenIKED ca proiect distinct \u2014 ini\u021bial, componentele IKEv2 au fost parte nedivizibil\u0103 a stivei IPsec din OpenBSD, dar ulterior au fost separate \u00eentr-un pachet portabil \u0219i acum pot fi utilizate \u00een alte sisteme de operare. Func\u021bionalitatea OpenIKED a fost testat\u0103 pe FreeBSD, NetBSD, macOS \u0219i diverse distribu\u021bii Linux, inclusiv Arch, Debian, Fedora \u0219i Ubuntu. Codul este scris \u00een limbajul C \u0219i este distribuit sub licen\u021ba ISC.    <\/p>\n<p>OpenIKED faciliteaz\u0103 implementarea re\u021belelor private virtuale bazate pe IPsec. Stiva IPsec este format\u0103 din dou\u0103 protocoale principale: protocolul de schimb de chei (IKE) \u0219i protocolul de transfer al traficului criptat (ESP). OpenIKED implementeaz\u0103 elemente de autentificare, configurare, schimb de chei \u0219i men\u021binerea politicilor de securitate, iar protocolul pentru criptarea traficului ESP este de obicei furnizat de nucleele sistemelor de operare. Printre metodele de autentificare acceptate \u00een OpenIKED se num\u0103r\u0103 cheile pre-partajate (pre-shared), EAP MSCHAPv2 cu certificat X.509 \u0219i cheile publice RSA \u0219i ECDSA.    <\/p>\n<p>\u00cen noua versiune:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Au fost ad\u0103ugate contoare cu statistici privind activitatea procesului de fundal iked, care pot fi vizualizate cu comanda 'ikectl show stats'.\n<li class=\"l\"> A fost oferit\u0103 posibilitatea de a trimite lan\u021buri de certificate \u00een mai multe payload-uri CERT.\n<li class=\"l\"> Pentru a \u00eembun\u0103t\u0103\u021bi compatibilitatea cu versiunile mai vechi, a fost ad\u0103ugat un payload cu identificatorul furnizorului.\n<li class=\"l\"> S-a \u00eembun\u0103t\u0103\u021bit c\u0103utarea regulilor av\u00e2nd
