Pentru stocarea datelor versionate, Got utilizeaz\u0103 un depozit compatibil cu formatul de disc al repositoarelor Git, ceea ce permite lucrul cu repositoare folosind instrumentele Got \u0219i Git. De exemplu, cu ajutorul Git se pot efectua lucr\u0103ri neimplementate \u00een Got. Codul este distribuit sub licen\u021ba liber\u0103 ISC.       <\/p>\n<p>Proiectul \u00ee\u0219i propune ca obiectiv principal sprijinirea dezvolt\u0103rii OpenBSD cu un accent pe specificitatea proiectului. Printre altele, \u00een Got se aplic\u0103 regulile de securitate adoptate \u00een OpenBSD (de exemplu, separarea privilegiilor \u0219i utilizarea apelurilor pledge \u0219i unveil) \u0219i stilul de scriere a codului.
