A treia vulnerabilitate (CVE-2022-4883) permite executarea unor comenzi arbitrare atunci c\u00e2nd se ruleaz\u0103 aplica\u021bii care folosesc libXpm. C\u00e2nd sunt lansate procese privilegiate asociate cu libXpm, de exemplu, programe cu flag-ul suid root, vulnerabilitatea ofer\u0103 posibilitatea de a-\u0219i cre\u0219te privilegii.    <\/p>\n<p>Vulnerabilitatea este cauzat\u0103 de o caracteristic\u0103 a libXpm \u00een lucrul cu fi\u0219ierele XPM comprimate \u2014 atunci c\u00e2nd proceseaz\u0103 fi\u0219ierele XPM.Z sau XPM.gz, biblioteca lanseaz\u0103 aplica\u021bii externe de dezarhivare (uncompress sau gunzip) printr-un apel execlp(), iar calea la acestea se calculeaz\u0103 pe baza variabilei de mediu PATH.
