A fost lansat\u0103 versiunea serverului HTTP u\u0219or lighttpd 1.4.71, care \u00eencearc\u0103 s\u0103 combine performan\u021ba ridicat\u0103, securitatea, conformitatea cu standardele \u0219i flexibilitatea configur\u0103rii. Lighttpd este potrivit pentru utilizare \u00een sisteme cu \u00eenc\u0103rcare ridicat\u0103 \u0219i vizeaz\u0103 un consum redus de memorie \u0219i resurse CPU. Codul proiectului este scris \u00een limbajul C \u0219i este distribuit sub licen\u021ba BSD. <\/p>\n

\u00cen noua versiune, a fost realizat\u0103 trecerea de la implementarea \u00eencorporat\u0103 \u00een kernel serverul<\/a> HTTP\/2 la un modul separat mod_h2, care poate fi dezactivat dac\u0103 nu este necesar\u0103 suportul pentru HTTP\/2.
