Proiectul LibreSSL se concentreaz\u0103 pe suportul de calitate pentru protocoalele SSL\/TLS, elimin\u00e2nd func\u021bionalit\u0103\u021bile excesive, ad\u0103ug\u00e2nd m\u0103suri suplimentare de protec\u021bie \u0219i efectu\u00e2nd o cur\u0103\u021bare \u0219i reproiectare semnificativ\u0103 a codului. Lansarea LibreSSL 3.8.0 este considerat\u0103 experimental\u0103, \u00een care se dezvolt\u0103 func\u021bionalit\u0103\u021bi ce vor fi incluse \u00een OpenBSD 7.4. \u00centre timp, au fost formulate lans\u0103ri stabile pentru LibreSSL 3.6.3 \u0219i 3.7.3, \u00een care au fost corectate c\u00e2teva erori.      <\/p>\n<p>Caracteristici ale LibreSSL 3.8.0:   <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Suport ad\u0103ugat pentru varianta truncat\u0103 a SHA-2 \u0219i SHA-3.\n<li class=\"l\"> A fost \u00eenceput procesul de cur\u0103\u021bare \u0219i reproiectare a codului intern SHA.\n<li class=\"l\"> Func\u021biile interne BN_exp() \u0219i BN_copy() au fost rescrise. modific\u0103rilor din OpenSSL 3 au fost rezolvate printr-o abordare alternativ\u0103.\n<li class=\"l\"> Suportul pentru proxy certificate (RFC 3820), GF2m, API X9.31, modul CTS (Cipher Text Stealing), SXNET, NETSCAPE_CERT_SEQUENCE, POLICY_TREE, precum \u0219i pentru implement\u0103rile rapide periculoase ale opera\u021biunilor cu numere prime \u0219i curbe eliptice de la NIST, cum ar fi
