SystemTap permite monitorizarea detaliat\u0103 a sistemului Linux \u00een func\u021biune, colectarea de statistici despre aplica\u021bii, profilare \u0219i controlul apelurilor de sistem. Managementul se realizeaz\u0103 printr-o interfa\u021b\u0103 de linie de comand\u0103 \u0219i un limbaj de scripting asem\u0103n\u0103tor cu C. Sistemul este compatibil cu nucleele Linux \u00eencep\u00e2nd cu versiunea 3.10 p\u00e2n\u0103 la 6.6-rc0.     <\/p>\n<p>\u00cen dezvoltarea proiectului sunt implicate companii precum Red Hat, IBM, Intel, Hitachi \u0219i Oracle. \u00cen catalogul de exemple sunt prezentate peste 190 de scripturi pentru diverse cazuri de utilizare, potrivite pentru a supraveghea distribu\u021bia memoriei, intr\u0103rile\/ie\u0219irile, opera\u021biunile de disc, traficul de re\u021bea (de exemplu, analiza func\u021bion\u0103rii NFS), func\u021bionarea planificatorului de sarcini, procesarea \u00eentreruperilor, utilizarea bufferelor de sistem, stabilirea blocajelor, executarea apelurilor de sistem, procesarea semnalelor etc.    <\/p>\n<p>Modific\u0103ri principale:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Suportul pentru ramura kernel-ului 2.6.32, utilizat\u0103 \u00een RHEL6, a fost oprit.
