Re\u021beaua se construie\u0219te \u00een mod P2P \u0219i se formeaz\u0103 datorit\u0103 resurselor (l\u0103\u021bimi de band\u0103) furnizate de utilizatorii re\u021belei, permi\u021b\u00e2ndu-i s\u0103 func\u021bioneze f\u0103r\u0103 servere gestionate centralizat (comunic\u0103rile din interiorul re\u021belei se bazeaz\u0103 pe utilizarea tunelurilor criptate unidirec\u021bionale \u00eentre participan\u021bi \u0219i peer-uri).    <\/p>\n<p>\u00cen re\u021beaua I2P, se pot crea site-uri web \u0219i bloguri \u00een mod anonim, se pot trimite mesaje instantanee \u0219i e-mailuri, se pot partaja fi\u0219iere \u0219i se pot organiza re\u021bele P2P. Pentru construirea \u0219i utilizarea re\u021belelor anonime pentru aplica\u021bii client-server (site-uri, chat-uri) \u0219i P2P (partajare de fi\u0219iere, criptomonede), se utilizeaz\u0103 clien\u021bi I2P.
