Vulnerabilitatea permite unui utilizator local f\u0103r\u0103 privilegii s\u0103 execute cod la nivel de nucleu \u0219i s\u0103 \u00ee\u0219i creasc\u0103 privilegiile \u00een sistem. Identificatorul CVE nu a fost atribuit. Problema r\u0103m\u00e2ne nerezolvat\u0103 deocamdat\u0103. <\/p>\n

Driverul n_gsm ofer\u0103 o implementare a protocalului GSM 07.10, utilizat \u00een modemurile GSM pentru multiplexarea conexiunilor c\u0103tre portul serial. Vulnerabilitatea este cauzat\u0103 de o condi\u021bie de competi\u021bie \u00een handlerul ioctl GSMIOC_SETCONF_DLCI, folosit pentru a actualiza configura\u021bia DLCI (Identificatorul Conexiunii Leg\u0103turii de Date). Prin manipularea ioctl, se poate provoca accesul la memorie dup\u0103 eliberare (use-after-free). <\/p>\n

Exploitul poate fi utilizat pe sisteme cu nuclee Linux, \u00eencep\u00e2nd de la versiunea 5.15 \u0219i termin\u00e2nd cu 6.5. De exemplu, ob\u021binerea cu succes a accesului root a fost demonstrat\u0103 \u00een Fedora, Ubuntu 22.04 cu nucleul 6.5 \u0219i \u00een Debian 12 cu nucleul 6.1. \u00cencep\u00e2nd cu nucleul 6.6, pentru exploatare sunt necesare drepturile de acces CAP_NET_ADMIN.
