Dezvoltarea este \u00eenc\u0103 \u00een stadiul unui prototip ini\u021bial, bazat pe machetele de interfa\u021b\u0103 publicate \u00een aprilie, preg\u0103tite de designerii proiectului GNOME. \u00cen acest moment, aten\u021bia este concentrat\u0103 pe arhitectura general\u0103 \u0219i pe definirea logicii interne de operare, de exemplu, organizarea naviga\u021biei \u0219i stabilirea ordinii de afi\u0219are a paginilor \u00een timpul preg\u0103tirii pentru instalare. Codul installer-ului este dezvoltat \u00een limbajul Rust \u0219i este distribuit sub licen\u021ba GPLv3.      <\/p>\n<p>GNOME OS este o distribu\u021bie experimental\u0103 pentru dezvoltatori \u0219i testeri GNOME, care permite evaluarea st\u0103rii de dezvoltare a mediei desktop, familiarizarea cu noile func\u021bionalit\u0103\u021bi emergente \u0219i testarea aplica\u021biilor proprii \u00een ramurile GNOME \u00een dezvoltare.
