Dezvoltarea Weston vizeaz\u0103 oferirea unei baze de cod de \u00eenalt\u0103 calitate \u0219i exemple func\u021bionale pentru utilizarea Wayland \u00een medii desktop \u0219i solu\u021bii integrate, cum ar fi platformele pentru sisteme de infotainment auto, smartphone-uri, televizoare \u0219i alte dispozitive de consum. Codul proiectului este distribuit sub licen\u021ba MIT.      <\/p>\n<p>Modific\u0103rile \u00een noua ramur\u0103 Weston:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00cen backendul de ie\u0219ire prin DRM (Direct Rendering Manager) a fost ad\u0103ugat\u0103 suportul pentru suprapunerea hardware a elementelor grafice (hardware underlay). A fost inclus un mod atomic de schimbare asincron\u0103 \u00eentre dou\u0103 buffere \u00een memorie video (atomic async flip).\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00cen fi\u0219ierul de configurare a fost ad\u0103ugat\u0103 setarea &#8216;mirror-of&#8217; pentru organizarea mirror-ului ie\u0219irii.\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00cen backendul de ie\u0219ire prin serverul multimedia Pipewire a fost ad\u0103ugat\u0103 suportul pentru tehnologia DmaBuf.\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00cen clientul simple-egl s-a permis utilizarea suprafe\u021belor translucidente cu reprezentare a culorilor pe 16 bi\u021bi. A fost ad\u0103ugat\u0103 o op\u021biune pentru utilizarea extensiei EGL EGL_EXT_present_opaque. A fost implementat suportul pentru comprimarea suprafe\u021belor.\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00cen backendul pentru ie\u0219ire prin protocolul RDP a fost ad\u0103ugat suportul pentru FreeRDP 3.x.\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00cen backendul de ie\u0219ire prin VNC s-a oferit posibilitatea de a dezactiva TLS \u0219i de a folosi o parol\u0103 pentru autentificare \u00een modul f\u0103r\u0103 TLS.\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00cen libweston a fost ad\u0103ugat suportul pentru extensia protocolului Wayland pentru gestionarea culorilor (color-management). A fost implementat\u0103 posibilitatea de a limita zona de mi\u0219care a cursorului pe suprafe\u021bele fullscreen.\n<li class=\"l\"> \u00cen componenta de redare prin OpenGL (gl-renderer) a fost ad\u0103ugat suportul pentru captarea ie\u0219irii OpenGL ES 3 \u0219i OpenGL ES 2 \u00een mod asincron, precum \u0219i posibilitatea de a schimba culoarea obiectelor prin intermediul shader-ului.
