Organiza\u021bia Linux Foundation a anun\u021bat crearea ini\u021biativei \u201eSupporters of Chromium-Based Browsers\u201d, care ofer\u0103 o platform\u0103 neutr\u0103 unde liderii din industrie, comunitatea academic\u0103, dezvoltatorii \u0219i sus\u021bin\u0103torii software-ului open source pot colabora la proiecte legate de motorul de browser Chromium. Fondatorii sunt companiile Google, Meta, Microsoft \u0219i Opera. <\/p>\n

Scopul ini\u021biativei este declarat ca fiind men\u021binerea ecosistemului format \u00een jurul motorului Chromium, stimularea colabor\u0103rii \u00eentre proiectele care utilizeaz\u0103 Chromium \u0219i oferirea de suport financiar comunit\u0103\u021bii dezvoltatorilor care doresc s\u0103 participe la dezvoltarea acestui motor. Se consider\u0103 c\u0103 ini\u021biativa comun\u0103 va ajuta la eliminarea barierelor care \u00eengreuneaz\u0103 promovarea inova\u021biilor \u0219i va oferi resursele necesare pentru proiectele legate de Chromium.
